bad hair day (Periparus ater)

of all the birds that come to the feeder, the coal tits are braver than the other tit species when the woodies and nuthatches are around. This is a teenager, hence the wild hair, also quite a lot of yellow and greenish wash

I don't seem to get the youngsters here Max. The adults just disappear through most of May and June. Then they come back, but no young ones.

That's a wonderful picture to get of this juvie lad - very well done my friend.
