Baer's Pochard, Osaka Japan (Aythya baeri)

This bird has been coming to Suminoe Park in Osaka in winter for a few years. There is a small but perfectly formed duck pond with a small island with a duck house, but this bird insists on residing in an (unused outside summer) swimming pool 100 metres from the pond.
