Baillon's Crake

Baillon's Crake (Porzana pusilla)

On Mali's suggestion of upping the ISO levels on my D500 have reset Auto ISO to a max of 6400 . Needed all of this when this Crake suddenly flew into a very gloomy edge of the lagoon . Hand holding with a 500 mm lens I need a relatively high speed to get a half decent shot this one taken at 1000 at f/6.3 , 6400 ISO
Location
Sandy Camp Rd Wetlands, Queensland, Australia
Date taken
Nov 2018
Scientific name
Porzana pusilla
Equipment used
Nikon/Sigma
Considering you handheld Ken...Its not a bad shot at all for them settings...I think the D500 does well in dark places mate.
