Balcony-biodiversity ... 67 (Cinnyris asiaticus)

Balcony Biodiversity ... 67
_______

Purple patch in my
garden ...

A capture from our
Balcony ...
The Bauhinia tree is
in full spring-time
bloom ...
and little songsters
like one here ... are
having a great time ...

They are forging
pair-bondage ... defining
territories and singing
aloud ...
Though ... one here still
has to get rid of a few
light-colored off-season
feathers ... it is
involved in all these
activities ...

Never noticed his
iris, too, is purple ...
... before this image ...

Watch them feed ... preen
and sing ... in a two-minute
stitched movie recorded
at Bharatpur ... and showing
this individual in the
last part ...

super colors for this lovely sunbird, guess this is the best time of the year for them, they just can't stop licking the nectar.

I've just watched the video. Must be wonderful to have those wonderful creatures so close and that you have eyes and ears to enjoy it.
