Baldie, Blue, Double-cresteds ... and no boats
At the base of Conowingo Dam. In Winter this is a great place to watch baldies fishing. I'm told there are dozens of them then and that they often dive for fish quite close to the path on the bank. But that day there were only two - first just one, then two - sitting on a wall out in mid-stream. When the second one arrived, another birder let me try out his 600 lens. It did make a difference, but too big to fit in my backpack and too heavy for me to carry hiking, so I managed to swallow my lens envy. This is a cropped shot with my 400. I'll share one from the 600 later.
