Banded Mongoose (Mungos mungo)

Most mongoose species are solitary, but the Banded Mongoose lives in colonies with a complex social structure. They feed primarily on insects (mostly beetles) and millipedes but occasionally take small reptiles and birds.This is presumably the Namibian Striped Mongoose (M. m. Gleason). Plural is Mongooses.
