Finally managed to take a decent shot of this pretty woodpecker.

Secondary Growth,Plantations and Lowland Forest.

Have you heard anything from Manjeet, he rang on 2nd Jan and said he was supposed to be back on here this week once he got his modem sorted, but no sign of him.

Thanks for sharing a close up shot of this very colourful woodpecker. This bird, when seen in the forest, often appears as a dark shadow against the sunlight high up in the canopy. And also that usually almost breaks one's neck too. :)
