I managed to creep right up to this owl as he/she was looking the other way and I kept to a route behind a shrub. There was a wood pigeon sitting on our fence too, but he was on the ball and flapped off as soon as I moved forward. Barney sat looking at me for about 2 minutes before flying off. This gave me a bit of time to play about with camera settings etc. :)
