I've been messing around with High Dynamic Range images (HDR). Usually you need 3 images at different EV's but I cheated and made three Tif images from one RAW file and saved them at +2, 0 and -2 EV. I thought the result wasn't too bad, what do you think?
Without the original image from which to compare, I can't really assess what difference there would be. I'm familiar with HDR. It is popular with landscape photographers. Usually results in very indense, deep and wide range colour rendition. That said, the image is very pleasing. The over-all composition is fince, good bg, resolution and clarity good. HDR is not a practical metod for wildlife photography as you noted, you need three images that can be registered in alignment, not easy to do with wildlife. :t::t: :t:  cheers B
I'm staggered with your skills at post-processing, Adrian, and even more with the stunning beauty of this expressive Swallow!!! :eek!: Hats off to you!!! :t: :t: :loveme:
