Barny (Tyto alba)

I hadn't seen a Barn Owl at Eastbridge for more than a year
Their usual hunting grounds suffered serious flooding last winter and spring
plus the Environment Agency had been doing extensive work on the riverbanks through the summer.
I thought they had left the area but last week I saw this one hunting the fields,
I couldn't get very close but was quite pleased with the way this turned out
and it's wonderful to know that they are still around

I love how you've shown it to us in it's habitat Tony - it's a really beautiful image.

I'm so pleased for you that they've returned to the area - great news.

A beautiful capture in a lovely setting, Tony and the great news that they are still around. Tfs

Beautifully captured in its habitat Tony, nice work mate. 5 Ospreys have returned to Rutland Water, you have to be very lucky to see them, lot of them go on to private land to nest.

Oh I do like this, Tony! The setting and composition are magical.

What a captivating scene you've got here. The colors are so beautiful with the owl in flight. Well done Tony, I love it.
