Barred Owl (Strix varia)

Thank you all for the comments on my last photo of the Virginia Rail.

We had a family of four Barred Owls that stayed right by our cabin. They could be seen or heard at many times of the day mostly early evening though. Two adults two juveniles. The juveniles would start calling then the adults would fly in. Sometimes they came really close.
