Barred owl (Strix varia)

A lifer for me - This barred owl spent a week or so hanging out at my local wetlands and was the first time one had been spotted there. Probably a youngster, out exploring - there was a known nest about 8 miles away to the west, so this one might have been one of the juveniles out exploring once he was grown
