I'd be ecstatic if I could get a shot of a bat half this good.

I'm crawling with them at certain times of the years and I try, but never succeed. Well done.
 
I am a bit pleased about these, especialy this one - i love the way the wee fella is looking towards me...Next mission: to get a photo with bat about to eat moth, and a good bit sharper than this!

Thanks Bob, the trick is quite simple really. Just focus manually on something thats the same distance as the height the bats are flying past at then wait till they come and start snappin away, out of 50 or so attempts I got about 5 half decent photos, the finishing touches were done on PS3. You should try it, it's quite exciting!!
