Baya Weaver, Juvenile(Female)

Baya Weaver, Juvenile(Female) (Ploceus philippinus)

I can't resist the temptation to upload photos of these beauties because I have observed & captured so much of their activities. This adolescent female has probably just learnt to be on her own, but keeps returning to the nest probably for resting. However, I have observed a drastic reduction in the population of the weavers in the few colonies I have been frequenting, probably it marks the end of season.

Mostly, I have seen the male weavers building the nest while females come & inspect the progress. I have uploaded a video wherein both male & female are weaving the nest in tandem. You can also see the male trying to woo the female in the process. Video link : http://www.birdforum.tv/members/action/viewvideo/7047/BAYA_WEAVERS_BUILDING_NEST/?vpkey=10cef3ffdd
