Beach pickup (Sterna bergii)

These two juvenile Crested Terns appear to be having a conversation on the beach. The male is trying his best line to an obviously unimpressed female. I'm guessing he's using the well-worn "Hey, baby, one good tern deserves another!".

(In reality, I don't know the sexes - there is apparently little or no sexual dimorphism in this species. However, it makes a good story.")
