Beach Stone-curlew (Esacus neglectus)

Bit of a dull morning so took the camera with 1.4 TC and tripod down to the point to try and get some close ups of the Double -barred Plovers . Returning along the causeway from King Island when I spotted this beauty . Very cooperative and allowed several full frame shots . I thanked him and the Avian Gods and went home happy .
