Beach Studio (Numenius phaeopus)

This was the second day of eight in my recent trip to San Diego, California (and north to San Francisco) both to see my son's new movie premiere, That's It That's All, and to celebrate my 30 anniversary. This whimbrel looks like I had it in a wader's studio. I love the match between the pink in the rocks and the pink in the bird's decurved bill.
