Bearded Mountaineer (male)
Bearded Mountaineer (Oreonymphia nobilis nobilis) Male. I realize that I have posted a couple of pictures of this species (maybe the same bird) before but none with its tail spread showing the white outer tail feathers.
Habitat
Urban setting in disturbed semi-humid montane scrub situated in the Sacred Valley at 2,792 m (9,160 ft) elevation. Manicured grounds.
Location
Hotel Pakaritampu, Ollantaytambo, Cusco Department, Per.

Most hummers do not show well from the back side, but this one sure does. You got the "money shot" on this bird.
 
would have been a shame not to post this one, Stanley!!! such wonderful colors on its spread tail, a real beauty, and captured in such a marvelous setting, top notch, many tfs!!!
