Beep-beep!! - Greater Roadrunner

I was there another time and this guy (or another one that looked just like it) was so brave/tame, literally coming up to with a few feet of us, that I couldn't even take its' picture with my 100-400mm lens with trying to back up. Then it would just follow me and the kids. They were a little scared/excited. I love getting the kids out into nature!

Beauty of a shot, unusual not to see those long legs.
Alan, yes they do - when they fly it is for very short distances.
