These are the charming Double-barred finches, a little flock were feeding beside the path at Sandy Camp Wetlands.

They're TINY for finches.

What little cutie pies these are and nicely captured D!

Fine shot of these strange but (as you say) charming little finches Delia. They really do look a bit odd! Wiki says they're sometimes called "the owl finch" owing to the dark ring of feathers around the face.
 
The best things are
always aside from the
beaten path, D, these
finches being a good
example. Capital.
 
Three nice little charmers in one frame makes for a wonderful colourful capture Delia, well done.
