Berry Burglar (Bombycilla garrulus)

They were certainly living up to their reputation this morning. I came across a flock of around 70 here on Firday but today in better light there's only around 20 left at this location. Not many berries left either.
Location
Hawkestone Close, Billingham, Cleveland. UK
Date taken
23rd November 2008
Scientific name
Bombycilla garrulus
Equipment used
Canon 40D+Canon 400mm f5,6
Very nice  I love the berry in its mouth. :-O At our old house we had an ornamental pear tree in the front. Once a year a flock of waxwings came & cleared it off in a couple of hours. It's amazing to see so many in the same tree--but then they're gone--which a shame because they are a good looking bird--yours are more colorful than ours though. You've got a very nice photo--thank you
