Bill
We were all doing our own thing at this car park and I'd been drawn out onto the road by the call of a Riflebird (hmmmph).

I watched something fly in to the top of a tree and this was the best image I got of that one, who I'm calling 'Bill' as it's a Dollarbird (get it?)

This wasn't the first I'd seen, as Hans stopped the car a few days before, for me to get one on a telegraph wire, but as soon as I lifted the camera he was off!

They really do have lovely plumage when seen in the right light.

A great upward capture and colourfully lit Delia. A brilliant close up, well done.

With the way the 'Little Aussie Battler' is fairing are you sure it's not a 'PesoBird' ? :-O

Lovely birds, with beautiful happy cackling chatter as they fly their insect hunting circuits. Beautiful bird Delia, and you are right - the colours in the right light are stunning :t:
