Billy No Mates (Ardea cinerea)

Gone back to last year for this Saturday Fun entry. When I spent a short time investigating Lintrathen Loch.

I was rather struck by the lonely looking Heron on the furthest away bank ... perhaps this one should be titled Saturday Sadness?

There was one occasion when I counted no less than 15 Grey Herons in that very spot.

Deerbird
The number one is lonely. Maybe the bird was making sure it was safe for the rest to come out,grin. Lovely picture Delia.
