Bittern at Lakenheath Fen (Botaurus stellaris)

It was rather remarkable that, after only seeing sporadic bitterns flying around the marshes, I was one of the first to see this bittern as it appeared out of the reedbeds right in front of a busy hide. About 10 minutes earlier I had seen a bittern land in the vicinity of the reedbeds, and thus I was left wondering whether it was the same bird!

Mere hide I guess? I've photographed Bitterns from that hide a couple of times.

Thank you very much! Yes- it was. er hide, and apparently the bitterns there have been extremely photogenic recently. The cuckoos, however...
