Black Buck Family
Seeing Delia's & Vicki's uploads of deer images, I am tempted to upload this photo taken a couple of weeks ago, of a family(possibly) of Black Bucks chomping on semi dried grass/leaves. Shot from a distance of more than 100 mt with a big crop.

The last six months must have been real tough for these vegans because we had a very poor monsoon last season resulting in a drought like conditions in almost half the country & an already sweltering summer to make life even more difficult all round. Hope they get through till the next monsoons due in about two months.
Habitat
grassy plains & slightly forested areas
Location
Hubli, India
Date taken
23-03-2016
Scientific name
Antilope cervicapra
Equipment used
Nikon P 900 handheld, cropped
Forgot to say about P900 , it is really a tempting camera for biding , comparing to P600 its lens is much brighter F2.8 at 24 mm and F6.5 at 2000 mm !!!
While P600 , its F3.3 at 24 mm and F6.5 at 1440 mm !!
And its VR /for P900/ is much better !
Have fun with it my friend Gudi , all the best ;)

That's a lovely group to come across SK, makes a nice addition to the set that Vicki and I uploaded LOL.

Let's hope they manage through to the monsoons, and you get to see more of them.

Sadly it would appear that we got the rains you should have had, only we're less able to cope with it! We had dreadful flood damage last year.

What a beautiful group picture, what a sight to see in person. Thanks for the interesting story that goes with the picture SK
