Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax)

In doing my research for this weeks article, I was digging thru my photo logs, and found this shot of the Black-crowned Night Heron. It was actually born right in the marina that I live and work in, so I have gotten to watch it grow to maturity! Such a lovely bird, until he decides to spend the night on one of my boats.....

Lol, I can image that is quite messy. I guess one of those things that is might be unpleasant but worth it. What a treat to get to watch one grow up into adulthood. Fantastic Tom!!!
