Black cuckoo-shrike
Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve. Not common but not threatened and only a couple of images in the gallery of this species so thought I would post even though it's not my best bird pic!

Thanks for the kind comments. Gerald, Hluhluwe-Umfolozi is a very nice game reserve near the St-Lucia coastline just south of Swaziland - not nearly as busy or well known as e.g. Kruger but well worth visiting - see http://www.places.co.za/html/1979.html for details

Well done Alastair - A rare shot, as this bird generally sticks to the canopy; usually in the shade with twigs in the way! How did you get it into the sun?? I see these birds a few times a month, and I still have not got a decent shot!
