Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus)

Probably a first year male, moving through but seems to like it here and gets friendlier as the days go by. Taken at about 20 ft.

Very nice image. FWIW, this is a female: 1) males (juvenile or otherwise) usually don't have the fine streaks along the flanks, as your image clearly show; 2) the supercilium is buffy colored (female). Good image. :t: :t: :t:
