Black is beautiful (Milvus migrans)

There were so many Black Kites cruising the skies over Darwin that it was hard not to get a decent flight shot ... eventually. Not a lifer (I'd seen some in Geneva years ago), but in such numbers and so close at times that it was a lifetime experience.

I've only had one brief sighting of one Ann - years ago! No pic!

You've a cracking flight picture of this guy lass - excellent work girl.

A terrific shot of this charismatic raptor Ann. I like how the bird's head and bill are picked out by the light.

Lovely sharp capture, Ann! A familiar sight north of Adelaide.
