Several black kites were hunting over a freshly harvested field. They seemed to go for voles, which might actually have been killed by the mower.

With a jellyfish, or is it a squid? 🤪Yes they do. Often watched and even captured this behaviour in the past. They often carry only parts of the killed mouse with plant material (by-catch) in their talons. An excellent detailed capture of this kite with prey.
