Several black kites were hunting over a freshly harvested field. They seemed to go for voles, which might actually have been killed by the mower.

A superb behavioural capture JJ. This would have been excellent even without prey in the bird's alons. A magnificent raptor!

(I've never seen one, but at one time tried to memorize what to do if you see a possible Black Kite. First you need to eliminate Marsh Harrier… can't remember the rest!)
