Black-necked grebe (juv)
Went back yesterday and got a few shots of the kind I missed on Sunday. Shot taken at f2.8
Habitat
Lake/park
Location
South Manchester
Date taken
16th July 08
Scientific name
Pudiceps nigricollis
Equipment used
Canon 40D Sigma f2.8 300mm
A really beautiful image Adrian. Grebes are fabulous creatures and this is a lovely picture.

Very nice. I see what you mean about it being a sharp lens at f2.8
Nice low angle too, were you flat on the ground by the bank?

Stuart.

Chin pressed against a stone bank thick with goose droppings. I ought to get one of those angle finders to relieve my neck and chin!
