Black-Necked Stilt
Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 15m.

Another first for me: photographing this species at close range. Like so many animals at this park, most of the time the stilts are really, really far away and tough to photograph.

Oooh.... very well done on your newbie Calvin.

Stilts are such smart looking birds, aren't they!! A super picture to get, thanks for sharing it with us.

Lovely lighting, pose and water ripples, Kevin.

Beautiful images today Calvin! These stilts may be challenging sometimes but you sure did well with this one.

Wonderful detailed close up of his little long legged beauty Kevin! I actually shot just across the bay from you a number of times when I was consulting in San Carlos. I would go to Bedwell Bayfront Park after work every day. Saw about 200 of these guys the last time I was there (2014) and it was there I saw my first Stilt! Great shot and tfs it!
