Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros)

I travelled to Coleshill in Warwickshire early this morning hoping to meet this specially protected bird species on an industrial site. It showed well at close quarters and was often on the ground. Occassionally it perched on a wall, fence, roof of building or tree.
