Black shouldered Kite. (Elanus axillaris)

Measuring 3538 cm (13.815 in) in length with a wingspan of 8095 cm (31.537.4 in), the adult black-shouldered kite is a small and graceful, predominantly pale grey and white, raptor with black shoulders and red eyes. This is a superb flight shot of this beautiful raptor and you've skilfully captured the hallmark red-eye. Well-taken and thanks for sharing.

I saw several in an area in the Dordogne in early winter, but failed to capture a single shot. It certainly is a striking species and is characterized by its hover, similar to that of the kestrel.
