Black Swan
Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) Like many places in the world this species has been introduced but this swan does not know its not native. In fact, this individual does not know its a swan. It is more or less feral and apparently raised with Chinese Geese (another introduced species) which it thinks it is (lol). It will come out of the small lake and attack people walking by, including me. I found it hysterical. Sexes similar. Parque Nacional El Cajas, northwest of Cuenca, Azuay Province, Ecuador. Stand of elfin forest with Pramo vegetation at 3,353 m (11,000 ft) elevation.
