Black-Tailed Godwit

Black-Tailed Godwit

Having parked the car on a causeway over the River Ilen near to Baltimore I scanned the mudflats. I realised that the rapidly rising tide was covering the mudflats and that the waders were starting to leave. Fortunately they were flying downstream towards the open sea and were passing directly over the causeway. What a great opportunity. Within about an hour I had captured dozens of flight shots including Black-Tailed Godwit, Curlew, Oystercatcher, Shag & White Egret. This is definately a place I will be returning to after studying the tidetables.
