Black tailed godwits working the mud - Such a beautiful day just had to get out, but still having a bit of back trouble. I managed to drive right to the edge of the Exe Estuary at Topsham so all I had to do was stand in mud.
Habitat
Estuaries and coastal lagoons are the best places to look for black-tailed godwits at almost any time of year, though they also visit wetland sites inland. We also have a small, vulnerable breeding population, on a select few wet meadows and marshes; they

Mud slinging 101 (lol). Brilliant triple capture of these effective godwits adapted beautifully to finding invertebrates in the mud. Outstanding PS!!!!
