Black-throated Blue Warbler (Setophaga caerulescens)

Here is a nicely colored warbler for this time of year. He looks like he still has his full breeding plumage.

A good day. I also got my first Prairie Warbler pictures along with several other warblers.

Mixed shrubs and jack pines
Location
Tawas Point, Michigan USA
Date taken
september 7, 2008
Scientific name
Setophaga caerulescens

Canon EOS 40D w/ Canon 100-400mm
I recently found out that these warblers don't change color from their breeding plumage.
