Black throated diver (Gavia artica)

A pair feed on a small loch that has a hydro dam on it. They cant nest there due to the fluctuating water level. They try to nest on another loch but are usually disturbed by fishermen. I have tried to get a raft for them, so far, without success. Next year! Only trouble is if they nest there, then I cant take pictures!!

Super shot of a fantastic bird! Recently saw two of these beauties at Lochindorb. Too far away for photographs though, so I had to be contant with some cracking views through the telescope.
