Black-throated Thrush, Whipsnade, Bedfordshire (Turdus atrogularis)

The overwintering Black-throated Thrush at Whipsnade Zoo is showing well during it's daily feeding routine. Feeding on berries, resting in shrubs, dropping down to catch worms, resting. It is unconcerned about the visiting public. Berries not as plentiful now, still looks settled though.

Excellent short of a charismatic species, fine work Mike. What a bird to see! I have poor mobility these days so couldn't go for it, but it's good that there have been many great photos taken and this is among the best.

That's a wonderful picture you've taken of this rarity Mike.

He seems to have had a lot of visitors go to see him LOL.

BTW I changed the scientific name you used, as this guy has been split from Red-throated.
