Blackbird
Female blackbird at Bowling Green Marsh RSPB
Location
Bowling Green Marsh RSPB, Topsham, Devon, UK
Date taken
03/12/2006
Scientific name
Turdus merula
Equipment used
Kodak P850
We only have 3 Blackbirds coming in the garden at the moment - Vic our partial leicistic male and the 2 females that follow him around.

Nice image.

I don't see 'our' garden birds too often now - maybe because of the cat.
However, Bowling Green Marsh RSPB is heaving with them at the moment. There was one every ten feet of hedge, which over quarter of a mile adds up to quite a few...
Did notice they were mainly 1st-Winter males, a few adult males and one or two females.
Thanks!
