Superb behaviour capture of this female Blackcap feeding Jay, and a beautiful setting too. Welcome to Birdforum.

Maybe there were insects in the blossom, Jay.

Possibly, but she did seem to be delicately dipping into each flower, which leads me to think it was nectar feeding rather than searching for insects. In fact this bush is in my garden, and she kept visiting and feeding like this for much of the day, a real priveliged sighting.

What a wonderful start you've made to your gallery with this beautiful picture!! Blackcaps are lovely birds to have in the garden too.

A super bird to get in the garden (I've only seen one female in over 20 years here).

I'll look forward to seeing some more of your pictures.
