Blue-gray Tanager
Blue-gray Tanager (Thraupis episcopus cana) Thirteen subspecies are recognized with three being mapped for Panama. Subspecies cana is found throughout most of Panama and wintering on the Pearl Islands. Subspecies caesita in found on the Caribbean Coast of western Panama while subspecies cumatilis is restricted to the Coiba Islands. Photographed at Canopy Lodge in El Valle de Antn, Cocle Province, Panama. Riparian, near Rio Guayabo, secondary humid forest at ca. 622 m (2,042 ft) elevation. Sexes similar.

I was impressed to see lots of tanagers in CR and this onecwas one if my favourites , this a a great shot of this cool bird
 
Great work with detail and great background too Stanley.I have seen two sub-species,nesophilus in Trinidad and berlepschi in Tobago.
