ZEISS. Discover the fascinating world of birds, and win a birding trip to Columbia
Blue Jay.jpg
This young inexperienced Blue Jay was poised to leap to a nearby feeder to scare off a big Hairy Woodpecker that was already eating there. Only problem was, like a kid trying to jump into deep water for the first time, he just couldn't work up the courage to do it. Maybe the steely stare of the big feeding woody had something to do with it. He was in this position for quite a while, and you can almost hear him thinking,"NOW!...no.....NOW!....wait......NOW!....no wait....NOW! OK......NOW!" But NOW never came. lol
