Blue Jay
We had an inch of snow last night, which brought different birds to the feeders this morning. Again, this is not the Mockers' primary tree that they guard. It is the second tree, where I had placed a second feeder a couple of days ago. Nevertheless, early this morning, one of the Mockers was feeding on this second tree and later proceeded to keep watch on a higher branch. But when I spotted a pair of Blue Jays on the tree, the Mockers were nowhere in sight, so the Blue Jays must have won the battle. One of the Jays would perch high up in the tree while the other fed and then they would switch places.

Great shot of this jay. It will be interesting to see how long the jays can keep it.

Thanks, everyone! Snow cover seems to bring the Jays to the feeders. It's supposed to snow all day tomorrow, so we shall see!
