Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) perched in a water hickory (Carya aquatica: Juglandaceae) over a bog.
Habitat
Close to the interface of the Gulf Prairies and Marshes and the Pineywoods vegetation zones. Adjacent to Cypress Creek, Water hickory/water elm bog at ca. 27 m (89 ft) elevation.

Cypress Creek, Humble, Harris County, Texas, USA.
