That's a rather beautiful bird Dixon... I don't remember seeing one come in before.

You've a fabulous picture of him too - very well done and thanks for showing him to us.

That is endemic bird to Borneo. Not many have seen them. It was a pure luck for me.

They have a very unique and weird calls. You can hear them in my last vlog video
timed 1:27. In the video, one of the calls belong to this Bornean Bristlehead. Among the calls, also Chestnut-rumped Babbler (Stachyris maculata). They are very noisy bird.

Hi Dixon

Thanks for those lovely videos my friend.

I wonder if it would be possible to extract the known bird songs and upload them separately, so that we can add them to the relevant Opus articles. You will, of course, be credited, as shown on this article: https://www.birdforum.net/opus/Eurasian_Blackbird#Vocalisation

I have extracted the audio from the 2 video clips and ampliflied the sound. Unfortunately, majority calls of the Bornean Bristlehead sounded like mixed together with Chestnut-rumped Babbler calls. I might be wrong as I am no expert in bird calls.

Do you want to analyze the audio? I can put it in my google drive if cannot upload here.

Hi Dixon.... thanks so much for doing that. No point asking me to listen, I wouldn't have a clue LOL.

If you're not sure, the ID forum should be able to help you.

You can upload sound files to the Gallery and I can add them to the Opus article from there (unless you want me to talk you through doing it?)
