Braving the blizzard (Parus major)

Might have been more sleet than snow but that sounds much less dramatic.
The ground was white with snow when I got up and more fell during the morning but then it started raining and now it's nearly all gone.

Wow, the face of our Chick-a-dee with some Golden Finch and maybe painting bunting to boot. You are a great photographer with such beautiful birds to photograph.

Lovely close-up of this GT fighting the sleet.
Thank you for your comment. This is my first red crossbill since 2014.

LOL he really was putting his back into it, wasn't he Graham.

You got such a lovely picture of this Great Tit lad - very well done.

It was a beautiful sunny morning here, so I set off for Kinnordy, only to be caught in a snow shower en route. And oh boy, it was bitterly cold!!!

Amazing rich colors with excellent eye contact and taken in a brilliant wintery setting. A real standout Graham! TFS!
