Brazilian teal a tad too close (Amazonetta brasiliensis)

Another 3-lifer posting day today. Too bad I never saw one of these ducks stretching its wings. Apparently they're the most magnificent metallic blue when outstretched.

gorgeous looking duck ann.you should have swam in there and got that duck flying.now there that would be a sight to see.all the best margaret.
